Mermaids bring together the world of fantasy characters and the underwater world. Their long hair, scaled tails and the sea elements around them give these drawings a wide variety of shapes. They can swim near a reef, explore a shipwreck, appear in an underwater city or simply move among seaweed and fish.

The tail is often one of the most detailed parts of the drawing, with scales that can be colored one by one or grouped into different shades. Hair, seashells and jewelry also offer plenty of possibilities. The setting can be completed with corals, jellyfish, starfish and small fish. Blues and greens recall the underwater world, but brighter colors can also create a completely different atmosphere.
